Background

Since 1902 until today my family and I have practiced the art of cooperage with a love and a zest for what we do. We manufacture and repair an assortment of wooden barrels with various volumes. We trade new and used barrels from France and Spain.

Construction

The barrels manufactured are from naturally dried, imported oak, (18 to 24 months).  Similarly chestnut from Mount Athos. The staves are shaped exclusively by fire and not in a cauldron of hot water which takes away all the substances in the wood and ruin its molecular structure.

Repair

We repair any problems that present themselves in barrels and during the final process of cleaning and sterilisation we use spiny broom (a perennial scrub) and thyme.
